How much does it cost to add family to your Equipsme plan?

One of the questions we get asked most often is how much it actually costs to add family to your Equipsme plan.

The answer is that the cost will vary depending on what level of plan you’re on.

Level 4 - GP+ Plan

Family total: £13.50

  • Your company pays £9 per month for your Equipsme health plan.
  • You set up a direct debit with us and pay exactly the same amount for your partner, £9 per month.
  • To add up to 6 children up to the age of 25, you pay half-price, once. So £4.50 per month.

Level 3 – Diagnosis

Family total: £34.50

  • Your company pays £23 per month.
  • You pay the same amount for your partner, £23 per month.
  • To add up to 6 children, you pay half-price, £11.50 per month.

Level 2 – Diagnosis & Treatment

Family total: £61.50

  • Your company pays £41 per month.
  • You pay the same amount for your partner, £41 per month.
  • To add up to 6 children, you pay half-price, £20.50 per month.

Level 1 – Diagnosis & Treatment Plus

Family total: £99

  • Your company pays £66 per month.
  • You pay the same amount for your partner, £66 per month.
  • To add up to 6 children, you pay half-price, £33 per month.

And remember, you can add just a partner, or just children, you don’t have to add both.

Upgrades

If you’ve chosen to upgrade your cover, it means you’re already paying in to top up what your company pays us. Whatever plan level you pay for, your partner will cost you the full cost of that plan, and your children half of that plan. So they’re on the same level you are.

Dental and Optical

You can’t buy Dental and Optical cover, but if your company has bought it for you, any family you add to your Equipsme plan will also get this cover, at no extra cost. What’s more, you don’t share a single pot between you. Each person gets the full allowance to spend on dental and optical support, each year.

Wellbeing Support

You can’t buy Wellbeing Support, but if your company has bought it for you, any family you add to your Equipsme plan will also be able to use the telephone advice line. Please note though that they will NOT be eligible for face-to-face counselling, and the service is ONLY available for children once they’re aged 16 and over.
